I'm
making
this
page
for
an
online
group
I'm
with
called
Gateway
To
Friendship.
Every
month
they
have
a
competition
where
the
members
of
the
group
send
in
a
page
with
a
certain
theme.
This
month's
theme
(September
03)
is
"Fall"
but
over
here
in
England
we
call
it
Autumn
so
that's
what
this
page
is
going
to
be
about
:o)
This
is
the
first
time
I've
made
a
page
like
this
so
I
hope
I'm
doing
it
right!!

I
think
my
biggest
childhood
memory
of
Autumn
is
of
time
spent
in
my
garden,
watching
our
big,
old,
apple
tree
and
waiting
for
the
apples
to
be
just
right
for
picking.

I
remember
being
a
small
child
and
this
big
tree
taking
up
most
of
our
garden
and
the
top
of
the
tree
seemed
to
grow
into
the
clouds
and
beyond.
I
used
to
try
and
climb
up
it
'cos
I
wanted
to
get
to
the
top
of
it
and
get
all
the
best
apples
but
I
could
never
climb
past
the
first
2
branches!

I
remember
the
apples
starting
to
fall
off
the
tree
at
the
start
of
Autumn
and
I
used
to
go
out
every
morning
and
evening
to
pick
up
the
"windfall"
apples,
take
them
in
to
my
mum
who
was
always
in
the
kitchen
and
she
used
to
either
bake
something
gorgeous
with
them
or
store
them
in
big
cardboard
boxes
ready
for
using
during
the
rest
of
the
year.

Autumn
was
always
my
favourite
time
of
year
as
a
child
-
all
the
leaves
changing
colour
and
being
able
to
pick
up
the
windfall
apples
knowing
that
I
wouldn't
have
to
wait
for
long
until
it
was
my
birthday
and
I
could
have
the
honour
of
picking
the
very
first
apple
off
the
tree.

I'm
living
with
my
hubby
now
and
we
don't
have
very
much
of
a
garden,
just
a
6
foot
by
12
foot
slab
of
concrete.
I
really
miss
that
big
old
apple
tree.
Aaaah
the
memories!!
:o)
I've
just
found
out
that
this
page
came
in
2nd!
Woohoo!
Thank
you
to
everyone
who
voted
for
me
and
congratulations
to
the
other
winners!
