I'm making this page for an online group I'm with called Gateway To Friendship.  Every month they have a competition where the members of the group send in a page with a certain theme.  This month's theme (October 03) is "Halloween"  :o)  This is the second time I've made a page like this so I hope I'm doing it right!!

We never really celebrated Halloween when I was a child... I lived in a small village and nobody seemed to celebrate it so it's never really been a big celebration for me.  We never used to get sweets (candy) in and we never went trick-or-treating or anything like that... everyone stayed in during Halloween.

Even now, as an adult, my husband and I don't really celebrate it.  We live on the outskirts of a large town now and although in the 4 years I've been here we've never had any trick-or-treaters I still insist that we buy bag fulls of sweets every year and then when we don't get any children coming to the door we spend the whole of the next month trying to eat it all!  lol

Maybe one day we'll have the opportunity to celebrate Halloween but it's looking more and more like we'll have to have children of our own before we can really enjoy this celebration...
